Reconstructing History pattern RH1435 —1940s British Utility Girdle sewing pattern. The United States' National Recovery Act asked manufacturers to produce garments with less material and trimmings for the sake of the War effort. The British Board of Trade instituted a simliar program called the Utility program and garments made under this scheme bore the mark "CC41". This pattern is based on a British-made girdle with the CC41 stamp. Contains sewing patterns, detailed sewing instructions and historical facts. Fits size 61-142 cm waist width and 91-172cm hip width.
